Queensland Touring Showcase is an important annual event for artists, producers, presenters, venues and key industry players across the Queensland touring network to come together and exchange ideas, discuss new opportunities, plan and collaborate.
The event features a dynamic mix of production pitching and performance excerpt sessions, as well as time for planning and discussion between producers and presenters to create stronger, more meaningful touring outcomes.

Update your arTour Presenter and Venue online listing
arTour is making changes to presenter profiles that will make it easier for presenters to have conversations about what they are programming and producing. The profile form is much simpler to complete. In answering the updated questions and ticking a couple more boxes, presenters will be able to include information about their audiences, popular artforms presented, and why audiences are attending.
Venues are encouraged to log in and check out the new information required and update listings before attending Showcase.
Venue Presentations at Showcase
At this year’s Showcase, arTour is seeking six venues to each present a 5 minute pecha kucha style presentation about (but not limited to):
- The programming opportunities or initiatives your venue might be nurturing – (this can include examples of local artist development, festivals, programming platforms/seasons, special initiatives etc);
- A profile of the audiences that are gathering around the shows your venue is presenting;
- What audiences your venue is developing;
- Why audiences are attending your venue.
